Dreaming of Cooperstown Contest Alert: Win DVDs for Dreaming of Cooperstown’s nine must-see baseball movies for every fan of the game
If there is one thing we love about baseball, it is the game’s rich traditions and the ease with which they are shared between the generations. Through their shared passion families create amazing baseball-themed stories and memories. Recently, I shared my story, Fathers, Sons, and Baseball, of what baseball means to me and how the game has connected three generations: my father, myself, and my son.
Now it is your turn. Whether you are a father, mother, son, daughter, grandparent, or coach, Dreaming of Cooperstown wants to hear your story of what baseball means to your family. What are your favorite memories or lessons of how the game has impacted you? Was it your first visit to a ballpark? Coaching your child’s baseball team? Your story can be as long or as short as you wish. And, since we all know a picture is worth a thousand words, you are encouraged to submit a photo with your story.
Here is the good news! You do not have to be a professional writer and everyone is welcome to participate. So whether you are 8 or 80, send us your story and photo. All submissions must be in by August 18, 2013. Dreaming of Cooperstown will announce the winner on August 31, 2013. The winning submission will receive a DVD for each of Dreaming of Cooperstown’s nine must-see baseball movies for every fan of the game.
